Privacy Policy

Versatile collects no data. Your songs stay on your devices and in your own iCloud account. We can't see them, and we never receive them.
Your songs
Everything you write in Versatile, including songs, notebooks, credits and bookmarks, is stored on your device.
If you're signed in to iCloud, Versatile syncs your notebooks between your devices using Apple's iCloud, in your account's private storage. Only you can access it. Apple stores it under Apple's Privacy Policy. To stop syncing, turn off iCloud for Versatile in your device's settings.
Versatile also keeps daily backups on each of your devices. They never leave the device.
What Versatile does not do
- It has no accounts or sign-up.
- It has no analytics, tracking, advertising or third-party code that collects data.
- It doesn't send your songs, or anything about how you use the app, to us or to anyone else.
Rhymes and meanings
Find Rhymes uses word lists built into the app, and Find Meaning uses your device's built-in dictionary. Both work on your device. The words you look up aren't sent anywhere.
Importing and sharing
Versatile only opens files you choose to import. When you share or print a song, it goes only where you send it, through your device's own Share and Print panels.
Purchases
Versatile Pro is bought through the App Store, and Apple handles payment under its own privacy policy. Versatile checks with Apple whether Pro is unlocked on your account. We don't receive your name, email or payment details.
Crash reports
If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device's settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. They help us fix bugs and don't identify you. You can turn this off at any time in your device's privacy settings.
Children
Versatile doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Deleting your data
Delete a song or notebook in the app and it's removed from your devices and your iCloud storage. Items stay in Recently Deleted for 30 days, then they're gone. Deleting the app removes its data from that device.
Contacting us
If you email us, we use your message only to reply to you, and we don't share it with anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
